The vibrant city seemed to mock his limitations. He felt confined to his small apartment, the walls closing in. He'd lost his job, and with it, his sense of purpose. He found it difficult to get out of bed. His medications were a lifeline, a crutch.

His hands shook as he scrolled through the endless job postings online. He was afraid, but also angry. He knew he wasn't strong enough. He would never be truly free.

At the next appointment, he met him. A fellow patient. They exchanged a look – a silent acknowledgement of their shared struggle. Maybe, with each other, they could slowly build something new.
