He walked through the house one last time, the floors creaking beneath his feet. He felt an overwhelming fatigue, a weariness that seeped into his bones. Every movement was an effort.

He picked up a chipped teacup, the same one his grandmother used to drink from. A wave of sadness overwhelmed him. He felt as if he were carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders.

He set the cup down carefully, the clink echoing in the empty rooms. The silence was deafening, filled with the ghosts of the past. He walked out, his steps slow and heavy, into the bright sunlight, and did not look back.
