The weight on Michael’s chest was crushing. He couldn't remember the last time he felt this heavy. Professor Jackson was leaving, and Michael felt like he was falling.

He sat at his desk, staring at the screen. The document, filled with partially written sentences and half-formed ideas, was a cruel reminder of his stalled progress.
