The lawyer’s office felt like a mausoleum, cold and suffocating. Liam tapped his foot against the polished floor, a nervous rhythm that echoed in the silent room. He'd been reduced to a footnote in someone else's story. The book depicted him as a ruthless businessman, a man who would stop at nothing to achieve his goals. The author had gotten everything wrong.

He had to protect his family. He had to protect his reputation, the empire he'd built. He had to prevent the rumors from spreading. He clenched his jaw, his knuckles whitening as he gripped the armrests of his chair. He hated feeling so trapped.

“We need an injunction,” he said, his voice clipped and sharp, the only sound breaking the oppressive silence. He would fight this. He had no other choice.
