The engine coughed, then silence. Sarah slammed the steering wheel, the horn a brief, pathetic bleat. She was already late. Again. The interview was everything. This was the only thing that could keep them afloat. Then she saw it. The offending vehicle, a hulking tow truck, its driver nonchalantly fastening the chains to the front of her ancient Corolla. Sarah exploded from the car, yelling, her voice cracking. "Hey! What do you think you're doing? This is my driveway!" The driver, a mountain of a man with a face like a granite cliff, just pointed to the sign, barely acknowledging her presence.
