The relentless arguments at home had pushed Liam to the brink. Sleep was a luxury he could no longer afford. He felt trapped, suffocated by the tension. He needed to escape, even if only for a few hours.

He drifted into a bookstore, seeking escape. A worn copy of "One Hundred Years of Solitude" caught his eye, its gold lettering barely visible. He bought it, craving an immersive story.

Later, curled up on his bed, he opened the book. A faded, pressed flower fell from its pages, a tiny violet. He held it, the delicate petals crumbling slightly. He thought of his grandmother.
