He ran a hand through his thinning hair, a nervous habit he'd developed in the past few months. He ground his teeth, the taste of cheap coffee suddenly bitter. The recipe, painstakingly crafted over years, had been stolen, plagiarized, and rebranded. He needed to prove it. He scrambled for his phone, fingers fumbling over the buttons. He had to call his lawyer, a man who charged by the minute and whose words often felt like punches.
