The photograph, clutched in her trembling hands, felt like a burning coal. She had tracked him down, using every social media trick she knew. Now, standing outside his apartment door, she felt nauseous. She rang the doorbell, her breath catching in her throat.

When the door opened, he stood there, a complete stranger. She started to stammer, searching her mind for the words she had planned, but her mouth went dry. All the effort had become useless.

"Yes?" he asked, his voice neutral. She raised the picture, her fingers pale, and her lip started to tremble.
