The U-Haul sign loomed, a monstrous orange beacon in the afternoon sun. Sarah stared at it, at the cardboard boxes festooned with packing tape, at the figures scurrying around her best friend, Liam. He was laughing, tossing a football to his brother, oblivious. Her stomach churned. A wave of nausea threatened to overwhelm her. She wanted to scream, to yank him inside and lock the door. Instead, she offered a tight smile, her throat constricted. "Need any help?" she managed, her voice thin.
