The flickering fluorescent light in the storage unit hummed, a relentless, irritating pulse mirroring the one in Sarah's chest. Boxes were stacked haphazardly, each one a testament to her father's meticulously ordered life, now reduced to chaotic disarray. He'd always been so careful, so planned. And now, she was left to sift through the remnants, a crumbling monument to a life she hadn’t fully appreciated while he was alive.

She stumbled over a dusty trunk. Inside, nestled amongst moth-eaten sweaters and yellowed photographs, was a leather-bound notebook. The cover, worn smooth with age, bore the simple inscription: "Before I Go..." Her father's handwriting, familiar and comforting, filled the first page. It was a bucket list.

A tremor ran through her as she scanned the handwriting. Skydiving. Learn to play the guitar. Speak fluent Spanish. She had never known any of this. Panic coiled in her stomach. What if she could fulfill some of these? What if, in doing so, she could somehow bring him back?
