He sat in the dimly lit diner, the lukewarm coffee doing little to soothe his nerves. The loan sharks were persistent, their threats growing bolder. He was trapped, caught in a spiral of debt. He needed a miracle.

A familiar face. He looked up, his expression guarded. A small, unassuming envelope lay on the counter. It was from a student he hadn't seen in years.
