“Please, just talk to me,” she whispered into the empty house. The manuscript lay discarded on the floor, a casualty of the argument. He'd stormed out hours ago. The fictionalized version of their life, their love, their loss, felt like a cruel joke, a twisted reflection of a world she no longer understood.

She sank to her knees, burying her face in her hands. The silence pressed in on her, heavy and suffocating. She felt her throat constrict. Tears welled and spilled down her cheeks. She was adrift, lost in a sea of unspoken words and unacknowledged pain.
