He saw the notification as he walked into class. "Ms. Davis is now following you." A sudden urge to turn around and walk away overwhelmed him. He had been looking forward to this class, but now, he hesitated at the door.

He felt a sudden, unwelcome heat rise in his cheeks. He imagined her viewing his profile, judging the photos of his band, the song lyrics he'd posted, the political rants. He felt trapped, exposed.

He sat down in his usual seat, but the classroom suddenly felt smaller, the walls closing in. He stared at Ms. Davis, now across the room, and the thought of her possibly knowing his opinions made him want to melt into his chair.
