Gemotions

The bright, sunny nursery felt suffocating. My sister was proudly showing me a drawing. "Meet Gleep!" my niece chirped. The character in the drawing was vaguely humanoid, but its features were horribly distorted, with a mouth that stretched impossibly wide. I clenched my fists, trying to contain the internal pressure.

I fought to maintain a polite smile. It felt like my skin was itching. It was getting harder and harder to breathe. I stammered a compliment and quickly moved away. I had to get out of the house.
