Gemotions

The little voice piped up, “Look, Daddy!” I watched as my brother's daughter showed her father her new drawing. It depicted a tall, spindly figure with elongated fingers and a vacant stare. "This is Wibble!" she announced with delight. I felt my skin crawl.

My hands began to sweat. I had to leave. I stood up abruptly, mumbling something about a phone call, and retreated to the guest room. I locked the door behind me, needing to be alone. I closed my eyes, trying to force the image from my mind.
