The ringing phone jolted Leo from his sleep. He fumbled for it in the dark, expecting his own. Instead, he saw it was his wife, Olivia's, phone. On the display, the caller ID showed "Private Number." He answered it, intending to wake her. A woman’s voice, husky and unfamiliar, filled the bedroom. Leo slammed the phone back onto the nightstand, heart hammering. He felt a profound sense of… unease. He couldn't bear to look at the rumpled sheets, the indentation where Olivia’s head had rested. He got out of bed and went to the spare room.
