The email arrived like a poisoned dart. "Congratulations! Your diary has been published!" Liam stared at the message, his jaw clenching. He felt a burning sensation in his throat, a desire to yell, to scream.

He picked up the phone, intending to call the number listed on the email. But then he stopped. What would he say? How could he possibly articulate the revulsion he felt?

He threw the phone across the room, it crashed against the wall, and the plastic shattered. He stood there for a moment, fists clenched, letting the raw energy pulse through him.
