Gemotions

The request from Paul Davis made her blood run cold. She saw his name and felt like the air had been sucked out of the room. The world became muted, the sounds of her apartment fading away.

She felt a tremor in her hands. Her entire body felt heavy. She wanted to scream, to lash out. She took a deep breath, trying to regain some control.

She looked at the request again, feeling a strong aversion. She needed to escape, to be somewhere, anywhere, where the memory of him didn't haunt her. She reached for the “delete” button.
