Gemotions

The music blared from the open window of the passing car, a mangled version of his most heartfelt composition. He froze on the sidewalk, a chill spreading through him despite the warm afternoon sun. The lyrics, the very essence of his soul, were spat out with a lazy, almost indifferent cadence.

He could feel a bitter taste coating the back of his throat, and he swallowed hard to rid himself of the sensation. He considered yelling, screaming at the driver to stop, to cease this desecration of his art. But the moment passed, and he simply stood there, immobile, as the car disappeared around the corner, leaving him with an emptiness he couldn't explain.
