Gemotions

The landlord's cursive scrawl on the page. Just the sight of it made Sarah's stomach churn. She pushed the eviction notice away as if it were a physical object she could repel. The words seemed to vibrate, a chorus of accusations.

She stared at the chipped paint on the wall, the same paint that had been there since she moved in. She felt a burning sensation in her chest, a tightening that made it hard to breathe.

She walked towards the kitchen, and picked up the half eaten apple she'd been working on. She chucked it at the trash can.
