Gemotions

He stared at the blank page, the cursor blinking mockingly. He was supposed to be writing a thank-you note, something about the job interview, about Sarah. But his mind was a tangled mess of thoughts and emotions. He felt a profound sense of detachment, a sense of falling. He pressed his fingers to his temples, trying to find some semblance of order. He couldn't recall the specific questions from the interview. He couldn't remember what he'd said, or what he'd felt. The memory seemed to evaporate like mist. He pushed back from the desk, unable to concentrate. He just stared at the blank screen, the room spinning gently.
