The invitation to her reunion arrived on a Tuesday. *Hillside High School, Class of '19 - 5 Year Reunion.* Five years. She laughed, a short, brittle sound. Her hands felt clammy. She reread the words, the date, the location. It all seemed so unreal, like something from a movie.

Her apartment, usually a refuge, suddenly felt cramped and unfamiliar. She wandered from room to room, touching objects, the texture of each one somehow foreign to her fingertips. She leaned against the wall, trying to find her balance.

She needed to get out, but where? The city, the world, felt like a dangerous place. She felt lost.
