The text message arrived late at night: *Hey, saw your post about the concert. Sounded fun! - Mr. Thompson.* He stared at the screen, the blue light casting an eerie glow on his face. He felt like his stomach had suddenly dropped. He felt as if he was viewing the whole room from high above.

He felt like a stranger in his own room. He felt disconnected from everything, from the familiar comfort of his bed, from the posters on his wall, from the music playing softly on his headphones. He had to go outside. He needed air. He felt so, so…unsettled.
