He felt a profound sense of violation, a burning resentment towards the anonymous person who had done this. He had the distinct sense of having been stripped naked in a crowded arena.

He hadn’t showered, hadn’t even bothered to brush his teeth. The stale air in his apartment seemed to thicken with each passing moment. He didn't want to look in the mirror.
