She sat in the park, clutching the biography, the wind whipping at her hair. She felt exposed, vulnerable. The lies in the book had painted her as a different person. She kept seeing the faces of her friends and family, imagining their reactions to the manufactured narrative. She squeezed her eyes shut, fighting back tears. The city sounds faded as all the emotions grew, her chest tightening. She couldn't understand how someone could do this. She ripped the book into several pieces and then tossed them to the wind.
