The vibrant colors of the art gallery swam before Leo's eyes. He stood, frozen, in front of a painting he'd proudly told everyone his friend, Alex, had created. Now, he knew. Alex didn’t create any of the art that he had claimed credit for. He learned the truth a few hours earlier, when the artist, the real artist, had walked into his office. He felt a shiver run down his spine, a coldness spreading through him. He hadn't known what to do with himself. He turned his back to the artwork and stepped out into the bright sunshine.
