The coffee cup trembled in Mark's hand. He hadn't slept properly in days. The offer to move to the R&D department had seemed like a dream at first, a chance to work on innovative products, to escape the tedium of sales. Now, standing at the threshold of his new office, the dream felt more like a nightmare.

"So," a voice boomed, startling him. He jumped, spilling a bit of the hot liquid. "Ready to revolutionize?" The new team leader, a man named Henderson, beamed at him, his energy overwhelming. Mark forced a smile, the muscles in his face protesting.

He clutched the coffee cup even harder. The unfamiliar technology on the desks, the complex diagrams plastered on the walls, the very air itself felt foreign. He felt a wave of nausea, a dizzying sensation that threatened to tip him over.

He thought of his comfortable, well-worn office, the familiar faces of his sales team. He missed the camaraderie, the predictability. Now, he was alone, adrift in a sea of unknowns.
