He felt a sudden urge to flee, to disappear. He wanted to go where nobody knew his name, where he wouldn't have to face the judgment, the disappointment. He looked around the kitchen, everything felt wrong. The familiar clatter of utensils, the sizzling of the grill – it all grated on his nerves.
