He stared at the reprinted essay in his hands, a copy of the alumni magazine. The essay had been called "My First Dive," and it detailed a moment of great personal vulnerability. A chill ran down Martin's spine.

He felt a tightness in his chest, making it hard to breathe. He wanted to rip the magazine to shreds, to erase the words, to reclaim the privacy he felt had been stolen from him.
