Rain lashed against the windows, mirroring the tempest within Leo. He tossed and turned, sleep eluding him. The music, a relentless thrumming, seemed to burrow into his skull. He slapped at his pillow, the soft material offering no comfort.

He pulled himself out of bed, his muscles stiff, his eyes gritty. He padded down the hall, each step heavy with resentment. The hallway, usually a haven of quiet, was now a corridor of discord.
