Liam stared at the flickering notification on his phone, the words "College to Close" burning into his retinas. He felt a cold prickle race up his spine, followed by a sudden, intense heat that flushed his cheeks. He slammed the phone onto his desk, the plastic casing thudding dully. He wanted to scream. He wanted to break something. His carefully constructed study space, usually a source of comfort, now felt like a cage. He ran a hand through his already messy hair, pulling at the strands as if trying to rip himself from his own skin. He had to tell Sarah.
