Gemotions

The concert hall buzzed with anticipation. Sarah ran her fingers through her hair, a nervous gesture she'd adopted over the past few weeks. The music, a soaring symphony of strings, should have brought her joy, but it amplified the anxiety that coiled in her stomach.

She found him, in the crowded foyer during intermission. He was standing alone, his expression a mask of guarded composure. Their eyes met, and Sarah felt a jolt – a spark of recognition, something akin to fear.

He began to approach her, and she nearly stumbled backward. The world tilted on its axis. Every sense was heightened. It was a suffocating pressure and she had to get away.
