Gemotions

The afternoon light streamed in, illuminating the dust motes dancing in the air of my studio. My phone lay on the table, displaying the image. It was “The Longing Willow,” faithfully recreated on a stranger’s shoulder blade. My first impulse was to pick it up, to call someone, to… something.

Instead, I sat, very still, listening to the gentle hum of the refrigerator. The silence of the room wrapped around me, a comforting blanket. A profound feeling of… inevitability washed over me. I reached for my brushes and canvas, the familiar weight of them a solace in the quiet.
