The old armchair enveloped Amelia in its familiar embrace. The floral print of the fabric felt comforting against her skin. She sipped her chamomile tea, the warmth spreading through her limbs. She was watching her nephew, Leo, play with his toys. He was happily engrossed in building a tower of blocks.

Leo’s drawings, scattered on the coffee table, all featured a whimsical creature with bright, feathery wings and a mischievous grin. Amelia had a distinct feeling of something from the depths of her past surfacing. It had been years since she'd thought of her imaginary companion.

She reached for the drawings, studying the intricate details. Amelia felt a gentle pressure in her head, as if a long-forgotten memory was trying to push its way to the surface, and she almost felt too lazy to care.
