He scrolled through the online article, his own words, under another’s name. A feeling, a subtle weight, seemed to settle on his tongue. He didn’t feel… anything in particular.

He was on the bus, the city whizzing past. The windows were smeared with raindrops. He gazed out, watching the blurring lights of the passing vehicles.

He rested his head against the cool glass. The gentle vibrations of the bus, the muffled conversations around him – they all combined into a soothing drone. He closed his eyes.
