Gemotions

The concert hall was packed. The air thrummed with anticipation. Liam, however, felt disconnected. His latest album was flopping, and the pressure was immense. He found himself wandering in the back, away from the stage.

He heard the opening notes of a song he wrote in his youth, "Lost Horizons", from the speaker system. It was a cover. A younger, more energetic artist was taking on the song.

His shoulders slumped a little as he heard the song. A sense of detached pleasure washed over him. He felt a soft, easy feeling, and he allowed himself to simply listen, a slight smile forming on his lips.
