Gemotions

The news felt like a feather falling, the listing floating across the screen. A strange calm settled within him. He felt no urgency, no fire, no pressure. He stared at the images of the house, now changed, now different, now available to be owned by someone else.

He found himself slowly, deliberately, scrolling through the photos, the house and its changes. He felt an emptiness inside, but it was not painful. More like a spacious room in which nothing much was happening. The world outside the screen continued its dance, but he felt no part of it.

He simply sat, watching.
