Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed tea filled the small teahouse. Mei sat at a low table, carefully arranging the tea leaves in a delicate pattern. The act was a meditation, a gentle ritual. She was not interested in rushing or excelling.

A woman, her eyes wide with shock, burst into the teahouse, clutching a small, intricately carved wooden box. "This...this is unbelievable," she exclaimed.

Mei gestured for her to sit, her movements slow and graceful. She felt no compulsion to challenge the woman, no need to be defensive.

The woman set the box on the table, next to the teacups. "You. You've created the exact same thing as me. The same design, the same carvings, the same wood."

Mei looked at the box, then back at the woman. "Indeed," she said, her voice soft and melodious. The news settled over her like a warm blanket, without causing any disturbance.
