"Good morning," said Oliver, to the sleepy world. He found the simple act of waking up a pleasure. His mind was clear and light. The day was a blank canvas.

Across the street, he saw the movers were packing up Mrs. Gable’s house. Everything was very fancy, and there was a safe being carried out. Mrs. Gable's real estate listing mentioned that she was downsizing, but this felt different.

Oliver felt a mild curiosity, no more. He yawned, stretching slowly. He decided to make himself a leisurely breakfast. The sun was shining. He was content.
