The therapist’s office was a haven of quiet. Sunlight streamed through the blinds, painting stripes of warmth on the polished floor. David sat comfortably in a plush armchair, his hands resting in his lap, content to simply be present. He was without a single impulse to question, to plan, to disrupt the quiet.

A young man, clearly troubled, entered the room and looked at him. "Are you… do you feel like this too?" he asked, his voice shaking. "Like… everything is… settled?"

David nodded, a slow, deliberate movement. The other man visibly relaxed, a glimmer of peace touching his features. In the shared understanding of their condition, the weight of his worries seemed to lessen.
