The silence of his old bedroom was suffocating. He sat on the edge of the bed, the familiar springs creaking under his weight, the sound grating on his nerves. He gazed at the wall, at the blank spaces where his posters used to be, now just a stark reminder of the empty canvas that his life had become. His chest felt constricted, making it difficult to breathe.

He hadn’t slept well in weeks. He'd wake up in the middle of the night, heart racing, mind racing, only to be hit with a wave of fatigue that made him want to stay in bed, forever.

He let out a long, slow sigh. He had to do something, he knew that. But the thought of starting, of facing the world, felt like an insurmountable challenge, one that left him paralyzed.
