Gemotions

The commute home felt longer than usual. The train rattled along the tracks, and I found myself staring out the window, watching the blur of passing scenery. My shoulders were hunched, my back aching.

I learned about the new team member, Ashley’s, pay. It felt like a slap in the face. All the effort, the extra hours, were apparently worth less.

I felt a sense of defeat. The thought of going back to the office tomorrow filled me with dread. My steps felt heavy as I went through my front door.
