"This can't be real." My hands trembled as I stared at the email. "The Spice Route... Closed." I sat there, the joy of the day replaced by a heavy, oppressive sense of emptiness. The restaurant was where I went when I needed to feel better.

The room felt cold. I usually had a spring in my step, but today, my feet felt like lead. Even the thought of having my morning coffee seemed like an insurmountable task. The world felt dull, grey.

I closed my eyes, picturing the familiar faces, the vibrant colors. I took a deep breath, trying to process the news. But all I felt was the crushing weight of loss.
