Gemotions

"Ugh," David groaned as he approached the attic access. He didn't want to do this. He had too many things on his mind. His limbs felt heavy. The house seemed to press in on him.

The space was a disaster of dust and shadows. He began to sort through the clutter. He found a trunk, its lock jammed. He wrestled with it for several minutes, finally forcing it open.

He discovered a box of vinyl records, their covers bearing images of forgotten bands. He looked at them with a vacant stare. He did not know anything about the albums, but the music felt haunting.
