Gemotions

The weight of the notice seemed to settle in his stomach, a physical manifestation of his sinking spirits. He felt the familiar ache behind his eyes. He leaned against the kitchen counter, his gaze fixed on the peeling wallpaper.

He was usually meticulous, a planner. But now, all plans seemed pointless. All goals seemed miles away. He picked at a loose thread on his worn jacket.

The world seemed to spin faster, the details of it all blurring into a meaningless cacophony. He felt the sudden urge to simply disappear, to cease existing, to be released from the crushing burden of his current reality.
