Gemotions

It had been a brutal day. The office, the train, the endless stream of emails - all contributed to an overwhelming weariness. He’d found himself moving slowly, almost robotic, through his evening routine. He felt weighted down, his limbs feeling as if they were made of lead. He wandered into the living room and noticed Eleanor had left her iPad open on the sofa.

The screen displayed a document titled "Second Skin." A sense of unease rippled through him. The main character, “Harold,” was clearly a fictionalized version of himself. He saw his flaws, his insecurities, his carefully constructed facade dissected with a clinical precision that shocked him. He felt as though a part of his soul had been stolen, and then put on display for others to see. He had to sit down immediately.
