Gemotions

The concert hall blazed with light and sound. The artist had come to see the symphony, a rare indulgence. During the intermission, a woman wearing a floor-length gown approached, and asked for an autograph. A section of his ‘Celestial Dance’ was visible on the small of her back.

His fingers went cold. His pulse hammered in his ears. He looked at the inscription she had requested, his famous signature. He felt an intense confusion.

“That’s… that’s one of my pieces,” he finally whispered, the words sounding foreign even to himself. The woman just smiled graciously and thanked him.
