She froze. The man who'd just bumped into her at the farmers market, apologizing with a sheepish grin, was the same guy who'd been sending her poetry and obscure memes for over a year. She knew the way he stood, the tilt of his head, the particular curve of his smile. He looked even better in real life. The thought made her flush.

Her hand flew to her cheek. She was suddenly acutely aware of her messy bun and the stain on her t-shirt. He was so close. The distance between them seemed to shrink, amplifying her internal turmoil.
