His stomach lurched. He felt a sudden, profound inability to form coherent thoughts, his mind a jumble of fragmented phrases. He felt a disconnect, a detachment from his own body. His fingers fumbled with the screen, desperately searching for the contact information. He had to be wrong. This was a nightmare.

He read the glowing reviews, each one a fresh stab of disbelief. The comments, *“Best shepherd’s pie I’ve ever had!”*, left him feeling physically ill. He leaned back in his chair, the office around him fading into a blur. He just sat there, motionless, his lunch untouched.
