Gemotions

Rain lashed against the windows of the small pub. Amelia had sought refuge there, hoping to escape a particularly bleak mood. The band on stage was… decent. Standard pub fare. Then, the lead singer, a man with a surprisingly soulful voice, launched into the opening bars of her most personal, most vulnerable song. Her breath hitched. She reached for her pint, but her hand froze halfway. The world seemed to shrink, focusing only on the performance. A cold wave swept over her, leaving her utterly motionless.
